Carlett – Hole 17

Choose a Hole

Pro's Tip

A difficult par 4. The perfect tee shot must find the tree lined fairway, far enough to reach the corner, as the hole gently bends to the right. Avoid the out-of-bounds that runs down the left of the entire hole. The smallest green on our course is a very narrow upturned target. A less than perfect shot will not stay on the green. A grassy depression and pot bunker lie silently, waiting for the shot that strays to the left. It’s going to test your drive, your approach, your chipping and your putting.

What to wear at ELGC

A copy of the dress code for the course is displayed in the pro shop but it is emphasised that the following forms of dress are NOT acceptable:-

JEANS, TRACKSUITS, PRINTED TEE-SHIRTS, VESTS, LEGGINGS, ‘SHORT’ SHORTS, TRAINERS OR FLIP FLOPS.

In the clubhouse, ‘smart casual’ is the order of the day, but please no “distressed or torn” jeans, overalls or working clothes, caps, waterproof clothing or golf shoes in the lounge. There is a small “spike bar” on the way into the lounge where the rules are more flexible.
